Has Sunnybrook School been around for long?
Sunnybrook School was founded in 1952 by Mrs. Irmingard Hoff, as one of North Toronto's first Preschools. With its move to the present Merton Street location in 1960 and several expansions, it now holds classes from JK through grade 6. In 1985, Mrs. Hoff's daughter, Irene Davy, Ph.D., became the director of the school. In 1999, Sunnybrook School adopted the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
How well is Sunnybrook School equipped?
Sunnybrook is a smaller, neighbourhood school, but it has all the facilities our students need, including a portable computer lab with a full set of up-to-date laptops, and a recently-expanded library. The scope of our physical education programme is not limited by the size of our gym! Our core programme is enhanced by swimming, skating, skiing, rock climbing and tennis.
